Chocolate Pan Cake

2 Cups flour
2 Cups sugar
1/2 C shortening
1 stick butter
1 cup water
2 eggs beaten
4 Tbsp. Cocoa
1/2 C. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Frosting

1 cube butter
4 Tbsp. cocoa
6 Tbsp. milk

Sift dry ingredients together, set aside. in pan bring to boil shortening, butter, water, and cocoa. Pour over flour mixture while still hot. Beat until blended. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, salt, and vanilla. Grease large cookie sheet (with sides). Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
I got this recipe in the relief society newsletter one month. It makes the best sheet brownies. Great for a big crowd!!

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 stick margarine or butter

For Frosting

Bring above ingredients to boil. Remove from stove. Add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 1 cup of nuts if desired. Frost while the cake and frosting are still warm, but not real hot. Put in fridge until frosting goes stiff.
